Target Audience Directors of Instruction/curriculum and learning from regional school districts Objective The instructional leaders of districts in Region 11 meet quarterly at our facility to receive the latest educational updates from local/state/national levels. This meeting is also a time for networking and for providing input on services they need from ESC Region 11 staff. The deputy director responsible for this meeting wanted to brand the group with a name other than "Instructional Leaders' Meeting." After a staff poll, the new INSIGHT name was adopted. The name "INSIGHT" was selected because the word means one's capacity to gain an accurate, deep understanding of something. This meeting is definitely designed for enhancing understanding of educational issues and being in the know about upcoming mandates. In addition, the word also describes the occurrence of a discovery or a solution to a problem. Our network of leaders meet face- to- face in order to gain "insight."
