Educators interested in job opportunities in the North Texas region
Objective
Our purpose was to provide an event that featured district and charter schools that have job vacancies for teachers in our region. This flyer was used to help publicize the event, which provided job seekers with 50+ potential employers -- all in one location! Candidates could visit with hiring managers, participate in an impromptu interview, and even accept an on-the-spot job offer.
This was our first time hosting a career fair, and we were uncertain about whether participation would be high due to health concerns following the COVID-19 pandemic. We were pleasantly surprised that we had such a great turnout of not only school district hiring personnel, but also eager job-seekers who opted to take advantage of this face-to-face hiring opportunity.
Evidence of Success
We were anticipating that we would have no more than 25 districts joining us for our career fair. To our delight, that number more than doubled! In addition, we received encouraging feedback from some of our job seekers, including those who were currently enrolled in our alternative teaching certification program.
