Early childhood educators in the North Texas region
Objective
The purpose of this brochure was to assist conference participants with navigating their way throughout our building while they attended activities during the day. Because the conference had a camping theme, we designed the trifold brochure to look like a campground directory guide (complete with trails, landmarks, and activity centers)! The agenda took on the form of a trail, with icons resembling scouting badges. There were also QR codes for accessing additional information.
This was the first time we attempted to create something this complex, and we were initially concerned that the end product would have too many graphic elements and might be too busy. Fortunately, we were pleased to see that it actually did serve its purpose of informing and guiding our conference participants as they attended the event.
Evidence of Success
We welcomed 243 early childhood educators to our conference and received rave reviews on our brochure! Several attendees mentioned that they wanted to keep their brochure because they wanted to share it with their colleagues back in their home school districts. We even had vendors at the conference who asked if we could create something similar for them because they loved the design so much. Our own staff members said it was a huge hit!
